What is eBookstand?
eBookstand is an Internet based, online, pay per service book store and publishing house with access to millions of readers world wide. Most importantly, we are a tool for you to use to gain access and get exposure to more readers. We want you to be able to tell you story to the world!
What can eBookstand do for you?
When you register as an author with eBookstand you become part of the family. At eBookstand we have set a goal. That goal is to give every author a better chance at success. We will make every effort to help you become more successful.
We set up a home page for you and your book. On the home page you will find that we list your email address. With your email address posted other interested parties and other publishers can contact you directly. We will not stand in the way of your success. Look at our competition. They seem to keep direct contact with authors impossible.
We list the book in our catalog. You will be given the easy to follow directions and links to list your home page and book with the now 30 major search engines for free. By doing this individual submitting to the search engines your exposure will increase.
You are assigned an account number for tracking sales. You will be paid monthly for those sales credited to the previous month. Online sales statistics will be available in the future. At anytime you can e-mail accounting@ebookstand for a complete record of your account.
Our aggressive affiliate program is creating a growing, motivated sales force of hundreds working for you.
Press Releases and publicity are also used on a regular basis to get the print media( trade publications and news papers) to pay attention and see where we are going and who is going with us.
As an eBookstand author you are part of a family and have a tool to use to gain exposure. Use this tool!

Present your work in a professional manner.
Promote your work via our ever growing sales force, utilizing the Internet to its fullest to expose you and your work to the greatest number of people. Our goal was to have 100 sales people promoting your work by the end of 1999. We have been surprised! We have over 700 affiliates after being online only 45 days. This number grows everyday.
Press Releases will educate the media about eBookstand thereby regularly making others aware of our site and your work (s).
Pay you! Compare us to the competition. We pay you more. You did the work so you should get paid for it.
What's In It For Me?
On eBookstand, we pay you 60% of the sale price of your book. If your work sells for $5.00 you get $3.00 per sale. If it sells for $20 you get $12.
Our portion of the sale goes to the sales force that is out there working for you and our overhead. We also pay the sales force well to motivate them to go out and sell your book. Everyone that works gets paid.
What does all this cost ? If your work is digitally formatted and more than 10,000 words the one time set up fee is $199 for web page creation and insertion into the eBookstand data base. There are no additional charges.
What about Short Stories, Reports or Technical Documents If you have a digitally formatted work that is less than 10,000 words and is in the form of a Technical Document, Report or a Short Story the one time set up fee is $99 for web page creation and insertion into the eBookstand data base. There are no additional charges.
Are you a short story writers with one story now but more to follow? We will give you space for 10,000 words in the data base for the same $99 set up fee and as many web pages as it takes to cover all your listings.
To qualify for this special price your work must be less than 10,000 words. For any short stories, reports or technical documents that have been previously published as a book and under 10,000 words contact sales@ebookstand
When is the work put "on line"?
We anticipate all works being online and visible within 5 days from the time you complete the registration, submit the work and make your payment. If you have an urgent need to have your work on line by a specific date or time advise us and we will do everything we can to accommodate.
How is the price established?
We highly recommend that you price the work so it is competitive. To be competitive you must be in the range of most paperback books unless you have highly technical and valuable information. Go to the book store and see what your category of work sells for. We will only recommend a price range but the final decision is yours. If you choose to change the price in the future that can be done by contacting support@ebookstand.com
Editing
Editing and presentation of your manuscript is your responsibility. We do not check spelling or grammar. We are only responsible for the text we put on our web pages relating to us, you and your work. So make sure your manuscript is grammatically correct, spelled correctly and in a readable format.
If you desire, we can connect you to people who can edit your work at a variety of different levels, from simple spelling and grammatical checking to full-blown professional editing.
What about pictures?
We encourage photos or drawings as long as they are part of the document. Any questions contact us.
What category of books can I submit?
We will accept all works that are in good taste and do not promote hate or the overthrow of the government. If you don't see the category that fits your work contact support@ebookstand.com. Sorry no erotica or pornography at this time.
Can I submit my book to others also?
When you submit your work to eBookstand we get a non- exclusive license. You can submit work to print publishers and to our competition if you wish. Remember it is your work and we are here with a tool to help you not hinder you.
Canceling our agreement
If you choose to retract you work from eBookstand for any reason, send a registered letter to us at the address listed below and you will be "deleted" from the system.

How long is my work in the ebookstand library?
The contract term is 18 months. Once you have paid the initial set up fee of either $99 or $199 you will be in the data base and will be maintained. After 18 months and if sales are "Zero" we reserve the right to remove any files from our system.
When do I get paid?
You get a check made out to you every 30 days regardless of sales amount one book or one hundred.
What if I don't have my manuscript on disc?
Let us know and we can help you make arrangements to have it scanned and converted.
How do I get started?
Fill in the registration form and submit your manuscript in any PC format word processing program such as MS Word or Word Perfect. You book must be assembled into ONE file. If you have 20 chapters assemble them into ONE file. Books sent as multiple files will be returned.
Using a MAC, contact your nearest Kinkos Copy Center. For less than $10 the will convert your MAC file to a "PDF" file for us.
