No Costly Restrictions!

Dutchman is an ideal simulation for trainers needing a low-cost simulation without per-participant costs or costly materials. Reproducible workbook pages and exercises are included. And there is no licensing or costly certification process should you also want to purchase the game.

And there is no annual license fee or per-participant costs once you own it. You pay no fees for the sessions that you run -- it is sold at a one-time cost. You can buy the complete set of materials for only $5,995! All you need do is photocopy the handout materials that explain the game (Team Pack) onto colored papers and that's it!

There are no restrictive purchasing contracts limiting your use of the simulation within or outside of your organization. It even comes packaged with the program materials you need to deliver it in your local schools with students and the faculty / Administration. (We encourage you to do this!)

We will generally deliver a train-the-trainer session combined with a delivery of the simulation for a fee of $3,750 plus expenses. This is a useful option when you need an executive retreat or if a training department wants to experience the simulation as a group. Contact us for more information.

And please note that many people purchase the game and deliver it without being "certified" or "trained" by us -- we feel that the materials are sufficient that this generally costly step is not necessary in many instances.

What you get:

Included is a thick Support Binder are instructions, leader kits, and information about the game including masters of debriefing and game materials. There is an instructional video of a live delivery by designer Scott Simmerman, pens, cards, a digital countdown timer, markers and all the materials you'll need to deliver the exercise without support. Of course you can get support by calling or from email.

The large colored map posters sell for $1.50 each, while Everything else is reproducible and we even include 5 boxes of transparency film to make your preparation simple and professional. You'll use the same materials we use in delivering the simulation!

Note: Many of our purchasers are consultants. We will also wholesale the game to consultants for resale and use by their client organizations. We have manufacturing of the simulation in the US, South Africa, Malaysia and Denmark and can support organizations with a worldwide network of delivery.

We have just completed a second playing option which makes the game a bit more complicated and adds a lot of intra-team and interteam interactions toward the end of the game. Essentially, we jump up complexity by adding Ice Shards!! on Day 16, warning teams about them and making the Spare Tires invaluable. We also add a Shovel resource, "just in case the gold is buried." It never is, so the resource is useless.

But this new version adds a second option for play, one that generates the individual behaviors that can be linked to DiSC or MBTI and thus extending the debriefing for a day or more.

This update will appear in all new versions of The Search for The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine sold after April 1 of this year. Updates to older games will be available at an additional cost -- you will receive instructions, new Shovel cards, new envelopes and forms, and all the other resources needed.
