Here is a proposed agenda for a national Institute for Training and Development to give you a general idea of a potential agenda and scenario for training.

The session will be focused on transferring of presentation skills, with the modeling of various Square Wheels delivery techniques and applications for a facilitation skills training approach (we will have extensive materials available as handouts and support material) and the focus will be on participative involvement and themes of leadership, communications, teamwork and change. It will be suitable for trainers, consultants, managers looking to improve facilitation skills, and teams / team leaders looking for new ideas for engaging people in the continuous continuous improvement of work processes.

This session will start with Square Wheels...

We will use this wagon metaphor for the initial 3.5 hours of the program (breaks are included!) and the presentation will be quite interactive among the participants and the session leader. The afternoon will utilize our team building simulation as a demonstration of issues around teams, leadership, communications and motivation.

The Search for the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine also includes themes of Square Wheels.

The emphasis will be on a discussion of the use of interactive, experiential learning tools in the development of teams in the workplace. We will also attempt to make obvious links to other conference agenda and learnings.

Note: We will go out of our way NOT to make either session a "sales pitch" for our materials. We will link the learnings from these tools to the issues and opportunities faced by team leaders and managers in the organizational improvement effort.

We have delivered MANY such sessions for ASTD Chapters, international conferences and other programs and we do NOT get feedback that this was a "commercial" for our products and services!

We use the materials to generate themes, learning and context for participants.
